What are the minimum / maximum numbers you can take?

While the exclusivity of this tour is most enhanced in intimate group sizes, Down Under by Appointment can provide for most group sizes upon request. Our specially designed luxury vehicles accommodate from one person up to 21 people. If you require a larger group size, we may be able to provide a larger Down Under Tours Coach to suit.

What is the climate like in Far North Queensland and how will it affect my day?

Cairns and its magnificent surrounds are part of Tropical North Queensland and thus you can expect the weather to be truly tropical. Our region is well known for its lush green environs, and it takes a plentiful annual rainfall to nourish our verdant rainforest. Rather than having a distinct four seasons there are really only two - the wet and the dry. The wet season runs from about November to May and the dry season from June to October.

We receive extremely high temperatures and humidity in summer and moderate temperatures during our winter months. Most visitors would never say it gets ‘cold’ in Cairns however you may hear the locals speak of a ‘cold snap’ when the temperatures hover around the 10° Celsius mark early morning or late at night. The sun has added bite in the Far North and so it is a good idea all year round to wear sunscreen and to drink plenty of water to remain hydrated.
